Meet Jess.

Jess Elfring-Roberts (she/they/them) is an award-winning filmmaker, improviser, podcaster, and ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church, known for blending spirituality and comedy to create transformative experiences. Jess currently serves as Executive Director of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers, where they lead national efforts to strengthen and support faith-based outdoor ministries utilizing 21 years of experience in camp and hospitality ministry.

Rooted in a passion for growth, justice, and community-building, Jess brings empathy, authenticity, and creativity to every role they hold. Whether teaching at Second City, performing with improv group Part Dog, or crafting stories through Urban Pebble Productions, they use humor and heart to foster trust, connection, and social impact.

As a facilitator and public speaker, Jess is a catalyst for change—helping individuals and organizations reimagine leadership, inclusion, and belonging. Their unique approach bridges theology, education, and the performing arts to empower others to build more vibrant and equitable communities.
